WHAT IS ASIAN MEDICINE?
 
Asian Medicine is the updated name for Traditional Chinese Medicine, Oriental Medicine, or Eastern Medicine. 
 
All of the terms mean the same thing and are referring to a practitioner who performs acupuncture, prescribes Chinese medicinal herbs, and performs related modalities such as massage, cupping, and moxibustion therapy.
 
WHO SHOULD USE ASIAN MEDICINE?
 
Acupuncture  is safe and effective for most patients.  No matter what your age, acupuncture can be a safe and effective tool to improve health and maintain longevity. 
 
The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes that many conditions can be effectively treated with Asian medicine, including :
-Gastro-intestinal disorders
-sports injuries and pain syndromes
-gynecological and fertility issues
-neurological issues such as Bell's Palsy and migraines 
-auto-immune disorders
-diabetes
 These are just a few examples of the conditions that Asian Medicine can treat.
 
IS IT SAFE? 
 
Acupuncture and Chinese medicinal herbs are very safe when given by a Licensed Acupuncturist.   Asian medicine is specific to the individual person, which reduces the risk of side effects or interactions with any Western medications you may be taking.
